Decentralization is improbable. Dashboards are disloyal. The read layer is the mirror image of the rewrite. It is the go-for-broke game of blockchain. The wire layer upgrades or crashes, like random access memory.

The Read Layer of Truth

The problem of blockchain is not that of being breached from without or threatened within. It is in the API, at the level of inscription (money–data) and at the level of consensus (When Infura went down, Ethereum didn't).

Visibility without Permission

All the blocks of a chain determine a “read layer” whose function is to play on the contradiction security-transparency.

In Web 2, where sufficiently usable read/write platforms prevailed, cats and porn were the order of the day. Your trades, your balances, your analytics - why is it than in Web 3, the data you see can also be manipulated at any time?

Every blockchain has two sides

If a few companies control how everyone reads blockchain data, they control the perception of truth itself. All that was information has receded into interface: read as written from above. The read layer detached from every aspect of consensus fuses in a common stream in which proof is no longer the protocol. Proof-of-work partially unfolds, a transaction between middlemen. The API is completed in Web 3, where the web is caught in its own lies. The read layer, as the concrete inversion of law, is in direct conflict with the real.

As long as we dream of decentralization, dreaming will remain a problem. The centralized index is the coping strategy of a continuity so broken by design that its primary output is an API, except when it’s declaring war against truth. Important to remember that Shinzo is the mirror opposite.

Why do certain records sound better when someone on the radio station plays them, than when we're home alone, and play the same records ourselves?
